In 2005 and 2006, the newly established Community Cooperation Resource Centre (CCRC) office of MNL researched and wrote several case studies on municipal cooperation in Newfoundland and Labrador. The CCRC program officer at the time was Dr. Kelly Vodden, who is now an assistant professor of Geography at Memorial University. These case studies were the first attempt to document and explain both the level of regional cooperation that exists in Newfoundland and Labrador and how regional cooperation is established and managed.
Please take the time to read and consider these case studies. They represent the voice of local leaders who are trying to work together to improve the well-being of both their individual municipalities and their regions.
