The Community Cooperation Office (CCO) of MNL recently took part in the 59th Annual MNL Convention in the Town of Gander.
During the convention the CCO delivered a presentation on the 2008-2009 Municipal Self-Assessment Survey and on the 2010 Regional Government Initiative.

Mandate:
The CCO is a catalyst for developing viable and sustainable communities in Newfoundland and Labrador, actively supporting regional cooperation through the provision of information, research, analysis, training, facilitation and advisory services.
Goals:
To assist municipalities in identifying where regional governance and/or service arrangements may be required by providing self-assessment tools, training and hands-on assistance
- To establish a research program and information resource centre related to regional cooperation
- To support regional cooperation through education, advisory, facilitation, policy analysis and development services
- To create a high level of awareness about the CCO and its support services throughout the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.
