The Tidy Towns Program has been developed as a provincial counterpart to the National Communities in Bloom Program. This program encourages people to work together for the improvement and well being of their communities, thus instilling a sense of pride and ownership. The benefits to the communities and to the province as a whole include improved quality of life, tourism development and economic development.
